| GREAT NEWS!!! |
|
At its December 13, 2011 meeting, HHSFOTA voted to give the Fine and Performing Arts teachers the go ahead to spend $10,000 to augment the Mobile Apple Computer Lab that HHSFOTA purchased for the department in April 2007 at a cost of $9,384. The vote was taken after careful consideration of successful fund raising events including the Holiday Basket Raffles 2009 & 2011, Rockin' For the Arts, Disney Art Raffle, Ad Booklet 2011 and Bake Sale 12/3/2011. The laptops are an integral part of the program at HHS and enable students to use highly specialized computer programs in music and art. Thank you to all who helped make this possible - teachers, students, parents, sponsors, alumni and friends! We will keep you posted.

 |
| All crew members were on stage as part of the cast and some cast members played multiple roles. Costumes were designed by Mrs. Biron's class. Since some cast members were multiple characters, the costumes included simple changes so they could go from one character to the next without a full costume change. Mrs. Donovan's class worked on the set and figured out how to manage all the scene changes. Mr. Breski's Engineering class created special effects. |

HHSFOTA mourns the loss of accomplished Harwich artist, Milton Welt (April 17, 1914 - October 1, 2011).
He was a frequent visitor to the HHS Art rooms, a HHSFOTA supporter and an inspiration to all. |

Milton Welt painting during a demonstration to HHS Art students and ..... |

...with the painting he then donated to an HHSFOTA auction. |
HHSFOTA is forming a committee to "Save the Milton Welt Mural" that graces the HHS lobby.
We will need folks to help with ideas for location, removal, restoration, and installation.
