Harwich High School's Artist in Residence |
| |
Accomplished Harwich artist, Odin Kaeselau Smith has assumed the role of “Artist in Residence” in Liane Biron’s Harwich High School Art Room. Throughout the school year, she is volunteering her time to afford the students an opportunity that is usually only available in more specialized art venues. Her expertise in a wide range of media including pastels, watercolors and acrylics is a perfect match for the varied interests of the students with whom she interacts. Her approach to stimulating the students ranges from a technique demonstration presented to the entire class to circulating the room and offering individualized encouragement and advice. She is a welcome presence in the art room where she actively engages the students in conversation and the art students actively seek her input.
