| Glass Studio Visit - Spring 2011 |
| Harwich and Chatham high school students visited the studio of glassblower, Michael Magyar in Sandwich.This was a followup to his visit to Harwich High School Art classes in May. |

| Art All-State |
Abby Hanus has been accepted to attend Art All-State at the Worcester Art Museum, May 27 and May 28. This is a two day studio experience with professional artists in which 140 Massachusetts high school juniors participate. |
Abby received a Silver Key and Honorable Mention for digital photography in this year's Globe Scholastic Art Awards competition. She is currently an intern at Barn Hill Pottery in Chatham through the School-to-Careers Art Internship Program coordinated by the Cape Cod Museum of Art. |

12 Winning Entries in the 2011 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards !!!!!! |
Visual Arts teachers, Liane Biron and Deb Donovan, have announced that 12 Harwich High School art works won awards in the 2011 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. Judges reviewed over three thousand entries from Massachusetts students in grades 7 -12 in animation, ceramics and glass, computer art, design, digital imagery, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video and film. Eric Walther (senior) received a prestigious "Gold Key" and his photo "Feather" will go on to compete nationally.

| 7th Annual Alumni Show - Friday, January 7, 2011 |
| As part of the Seventh Annual Alumni Show, sixteen alumni exhibited art work in the lobby and thirty-one musicians performed on stage. Individual and group selections were followed by the alumni joining the chorus and concert band in seven spirited numbers. |
